There have been many casualties of the Bowl Championship Series. And by casualties I mean being cheated out of the best bowl game. In 2004 the casualty was the university of Auburn. Also Utah and Boise St went undeafeted, but since they aren't in good conferences they are accused of having "easy" schedules. In 2003 the casualt was university of southern California. Who will be the casualty in 2005? Let's not have one. Therefore I support having a playoff system. Having a playoff system would determine the undisputed champion of the nation, so there would be no more shared titles and no more controversy. Also having a college playoff system would attract more viewers and would gain more money. Also I think that we should keep the bowls sites but make them playoff sites. This would bring in an average audience because none of the bowls would be competing to be played on the 1st of january. The teams that would get in would be the top sixteen. The number one team would play the number sixteen team and the number two team would play the number fifteen team etc... The first round would be played one weeks after the regular season, the quarterfinals would be played one week after the first round, the semifinals will be played one week after the quarterfinals, and the finals would be played one week after the quarterfinals. We also could make the playoffs have the top twenty teams play and make a wild card round and push all the rounds back one week.
